" Pendant", derived from "pendre" (Old French) and the Latin Word "pendere" meaning to hang down, is one of man's earliest body adornments. Primeval man liked to put a tiny hole in a beautiful rock and slip in a string of grass or vine so it could be hung around the neck. Eons later, the pleasure is the same.
As an artist, I visualize pendants with timeless appeal yet with an urban influence for today. Hand sculpted from copper, silver, metals, geodes, agates, crystals and minerals combined by the element of fire results in simplicity and strength. My torch allows me to capture subtle gradations of color and texture, perhaps dramatic in scale, but evocative in form, with both a rustic and refined sculptural appeal.
